ថ្មីៗនេះ ហ៊ុន សែន ទទួលបរាជ័យ ក្នុងគម្រោង ពីរយ៉ាង របស់គាត់ ៖
១- សមាជគណៈកម្មាធិការកណ្តាល គណបក្សប្រជាជនកម្ពុជា ថ្ងៃ ២២ សីហា ២០១៩ មិនអនុញ្ញាតិឲ្យ ហ៊ុន សែន កែប្រែរចនាសម្ព័ន្ធរបស់រដ្ឋ ដើម្បីត្រៀមដាក់កូនគាត់ ហ៊ុន ម៉ាណែត ឲ្យឡើងកាន់តំណែងជំនួសគាត់។
២- ហ៊ុន សែន មិនអាចបំបែកក្រសួងមហាផ្ទៃជាពីរ ដើម្បីដកកម្លាំងនគរបាល ចេញពីការគ្រប់គ្រងរបស់ ស ខេង។ ផ្ទុយទៅវិញ ស ខេង ឥឡូវ មានឥទ្ធិពលខ្លាំងជាងមុនទៀត។

(*) Hun Sen has recently suffered two defeats:
1) The CPP Central Committee on 22 August 2019 did not allow Hun Sen to reform the state apparatus so as to lay the ground for his son Hun Manet to succeed him.
2) Hun Sen failed in his attempt to split the Interior Ministry so as to deny Sar Kheng the control of the Police. Contrary to Hun Sen's plan, Sar Kheng has become even more powerful.
